Janet McCaulley

Education Outreach - Remember When and Schoolmarm

Janet McCaulley has been involved with the Society for almost 20 years.  She started by coordinating her pupils from the Summit DD, then located at Five Points, to volunteer at the Perkins Stone Mansion watering flowers, picking up sticks and assisting to make the grounds look good.

When she retired, Janet was able to volunteer more and took an interest with the Society's Remember When program where she helped with research and program development working her way to primary presenter.  The newest program, "Reliving Christmas Through Music," was designed by Janet.

Besides going on the road for the Society traveling to six different counties for Remember When presentations, Janet has recently become the schoolmarm at Old Stone School for Akron Public School third grade students and Society open houses.  This site is owned by the Society in collaboration with Akron Public Schools.
