The Summit County Histoircal Society looks forward to hosting Dr. Robert (Bob) Kreiger, our friend and barn painter extraordinaire, at The Piggery in Barberton. The event will highlight a collaborative with the Barberton Historical Society last year to visit barns from the historic OC Barber estate.
The program will run from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at 248 Robinson Avenue, Barberton, OH.
Bob has documented numerous barns in Summit County over the years and they will be on display and available for sale with the kick off of an on-line auction. Funds raised will support the work of the Summit County Historical Society with its mission to preserve, interpret and education others about the rich history in Akron and Summit County.
The event will include Bob telling stories about barns he has painted compositions of throughout Ohio and the nation. Copies of his books, Historic Barns of Ohio, Round Barns of America, and Stone Barns of America will be available for purchase.
