Join us for our monthly series of programs that are free for Society members and $10 for nonmembers where we "Remember When."

This month marks the 100th anniversary of the end of the Great War.  Dave Gates, Education Outreach Presenter, will share World War I: Akron Over There. Young men from Summit County embarke on what they anticipate will be a great adventure - WWI - and run head-on into the first total industrial war.  Included is the equipment from real solders' expereinces, such as helmets, gas mask, mess kit and field jacket from "over there."  Learn what it was like to spend time in the trenches.

The program lasts approximately 45 minutes then guests will be encouraged to attend the WWI music program at the Akron-Summit County Public Library.
