Society Centennial Celebration

Jul 12, 2024

The Society Centennial will be held on Friday, July 12th at House Three Thirty. Dave Lieberth, Society Board Chair Emeritus and Akron History Center President, and Judi Hill, NAACP President and past Society Director, will be the Honorary Chairs.

We look forward to celebrating a century of sharing history with the local community!

Tickets are available via EventBrite: https://bit.ly/SocietyCentennial2024

Guests attending the Society Centennial Celebration are encouraged to wear clothing reflecting a favorite decade. Be fun, festive or casual, and most importantly, be comfortable. The night kicks off at 6 p.m. with heavy hors d'oeuvres themed around some favorite eras. There will be music to set the mood by "the Entertainer" Gerald Harris along with photos to take (of you) and see with Society artifacts on display that will soon be going to the new Akron History Center in preparation of Akron's Bicentennial.

Tickets are $100 each which include a great atmosphere, a drink (more available for purchase), hors d'oeuvres and classic decade desserts. For an additional $50, attendees may purchase an option for "History with Dave (Lieberth) in the Den." This option will take you to a secret location on another floor for a drink and Akroncentric appetizers.

Silent auction teasers include a bourbon tasting with Joe Abraham, Society Director Emeritus, at the mansion and a themed dinner by Chef Dan Remark of the Magic City's Remarkable Diner.
