Join the Society to visit the John Brown House and Perkins Stone Mansion to see "Holidays on the Hill: Celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa."

Start your visit by parking at the John Brown House and finding an "elf" who will share a postcard map of activities and locations for the visit. The event includes inside tours of both historic sites, as well as a visit from Santa on the property plus cookies and wassail in the Wash House.

The Society is thankful to Deb Loughborough for loaning African American Christmas and Santa pieces from her collections plus the City of Akron and Jeanne Tassiello-Jordan for loaning Polsky and O'Neil's store displays including a life size Santa, carolers, critter animatronics and Santas from around the world as part of this year's festivities. Visitors to the property may see the Santas from around the world in the Gift Shop windows. In the Perkins Stone Mansion, themed rooms include a Victorian Christmas, preparing for Hanukkah, celebrating Kwanzaa and a Society centennial Christmas featuring ornaments, clothing and toys from the 1920s to today.

Society holidays tours are available starting November 30th and will run through December 30th on Wednedsays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 1 - 4 p.m. (last tour at 3:30 p.m.) except the December 3rd open house from 2-4 p.m. Additional tours are available on Saturdays at 11 a.m. by appointment. The cost is $10 per person, $8 for seniors, $5 for Society members and veterans and $2 for students.

There will not be tours available the week of Thanksgiving or on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve.

Remember to visit the Society's Wood Shop Emporium to pick up special wood gifts, books and more for family and friends this season.
