ReThinking Race Trolley Tour of African American History

Feb 28, 2019

Join the Summit County Historical Society in collaboration with The University of Akron for ReThinking Race programming. This trolley tour will start at the University Commons at 1 p.m. The tour will highlight individuals and locations of African American history in Akron and a hike to the John Brown Monument (on the Akron Zoo grounds). Please wear weather appropriate clothing and shoes as the hike includes steep unlevel ground.

All efforts will be made to return by 3 p.m. but allow for extra time due to construction traffic. One trolley will be available for this tour so it will be first come first serve for any individuals not on the EventBrite sign up.

Special thanks to the City of Akron and the Akron Zoo for their assistance and support of this free event.
