As the City of Akron Celebrates its Bicentennial, the Summit County Historical Society wants vistors to know about the Perkins family and know about the town that General Simon Perkins co-founded in 1825. Without Perkins, there is no Akron.
From summer soirees to industrial might, dressing up and going to weddings, the Perkins Stone Mansion and the family it represents has a story to tell through the hundreds of artifacts on display in the home of Akron and Summit County! Tours are available Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. You can purchase tickets online on EventBrite or pay at the door.
